Staten Island, NY – May 25th, 2022 – After yesterday’s horrific murder of young children in a Texas school shooting, Sam Pirozzolo renewed his call for implementing retired NYPD & NYS Police officers throughout New York Schools. In the wake of the Sandy Hook Shooting 10 years ago Sam Pirozzolo passed a resolution in CEC 31 to help protect New York City Children. Sam Said: “This is an issue we spoke about ten years age after Sandy Hook and we had the right plan. We eventually passed CEC 31 resolution #76 on January 7th, 2013 but the Department of Education rejected it out of hand.” Sam went on to say: “We are having shootings right here in NYC where a young girl was killed outside of her school in Brooklyn this month and on Staten Island a child was pistol whipped outside of Susan Wagner High School. Enough is enough – I pledge to take the resolution I passed in the CEC and make it Law in Albany once I am elected. My first bill introduced will be “The School Safety and Accountability Measure” (S.S.A.M). Which will create a safety force specifically for NYS Schools made up of armed and licenced retired NYPD and NYS Law Enforcement to patrol and protect our school children preventing another nightmare from happening here in New York.
