STATEN ISLAND, NY — Today, New York City Council Member David Carr (R-Mid-Island) announced his endorsement of Sam Pirozzolo in the race for State Assembly District 63 on Staten Island. Pirozzolo is the Republican and Conservative nominee.
“Sam understands the unique needs of Staten Islanders, especially those living in Assembly District 63,” said Carr. “As President of the Community Education Council, he was a relentless advocate for our children, and I know he will be a relentless advocate for us in Albany too. Sam is the dependable partner I need in Albany to fight against congestion pricing, repeal bail reform, and fix our broken education system.”
“There’s just too much at stake in this election for us to continue settling for the status quo. Now more than ever, we need to elect pragmatic leaders who will be committed to advocating for a common-sense agenda that restores public safety and rejects the out-of-touch policies that have driven so many of our neighbors to flee New York,” said Pirozzolo. “As a member of the City Council’s Common-Sense Caucus, Council Member Carr has taken up the fight with complete courage and passion. I’m so glad to have his support and look forward to working with him to advocate for the common-sense agenda that New Yorkers desperately want.”
